The success of NDTV Imagine’s Rakhi ka swayamvar has paved the way for other channels too indulge into match-making. Star Plus first started the trend with Star Vivaah and now they’ll continue to do the good work by launching a new show which is based on the international reality show – The Perfect Bride.
A reliable source informs, “This show is a licensed version of the international reality show The Perfect Bride. Here, the prospective groom’s mother will look for a girl and convince her to give a chance to her son. The girl and the guy meet for the first time in the show only. Now from there they both will be given different tasks to prove their love and compatibility for each other. In the end just three mother-son pairs are left and five Perfect Bride candidates to choose from. The favourite mother-in-law, selected by popular audience vote through SMS, is finally allowed to choose her Perfect Bride. If the girl accepts, the couple will then be entitled to the magnificent wedding in the finale of The Perfect Bride.”
Adding further the source says, “The shoot of the show was supposed to start from 12 August at N.D. studios in Karjat but it has been delayed as just now viewers have seen two marriage-based reality shows. So, the channel decided to give it some more time. Till then audience will enjoy Farah Khan’s chat show Tere Mere Beech Mein. The Perfect Bride is probably an in-house production.”
