PLEASE READ MY ANALYSIS
IF Prianka becomes Lux perfect bride, she still wont be Rajbir’s bride caz his family didn’t accept her. Though I like Prianka more than Rumpa, but it seems that Prianka is out of luck. As we all saw yesterday Rajbir’s mother refused the engagment. Soo Really even if Prianka becomes Lux perfect bride she might have to wait YEARs after Years to Marry Raj or maybe never caz of his family.
Rumpa is SET….Both sides of the family agreed for their wedding…. Soo there are no more tensions. IF Rumpa becomes Lux perfect bride then she will also be Hitesh’s bride as well.
Audience’s my point is even if we vote for Prianka she has no luck to get married caz of Rajbir’s Family. I truly dont think Raj’s family will ever accept her. It has been several weeks and no one in Raj’s family said yes all the way. Soo I truly dont think there are any chances for them to get married untill they decide to go against their family.
Soo really the show is ending lets make everyone happy and VOTE for Rumpa that way at someone will get married on this show.

Lux Perfect Bride – My Observations
The first ever Lux Perfect Bride is about to come to its conclusion in the coming week. Most of the people reading this blog have been ardent followers of the show and are rooting/have rooted for one or more contestants. Either ways we have felt emotionally attached to someone on this show and have been able to relate ourselves to the happenings on this unique show- Lux Perfect Bride.
Here is my personal analysis and learnings from the show- which i have followed fervently.
I began by asking myself the question
1. Is LUX Perfect Bride a success?
(I assume that whatever has been shown on the show is not scripted and even though its an edited reality but a reality none the less. Also that all the participants are authentic)
Well going by the TRPs the show has garnered, it has been a historic hit, a winning formula for StarPlus (we can expect the second or even more seasons). This indianised version of “Momma’s Boys” has raked in the moolah but is the show really suited to an Indian scenario where the family plays such an important role when it comes to marriages?
I would say no.
Look at the two finalists of the show.
Rajbeer and Priyanka despite confessing love for each other are unable to marry because of the non acceptance by Rajbeer’s family. While we can only speculate the reason for that, the fact remains that it is a part of our traditional value system to ascertain our families readiness before taking the final plunge. It is a sad fact pertaining to life in subcontinent but, many lovers are unable to marry because of the same reason.
Hitesh and Rumpa on the other hand have come together after prior setbacks and moved swiftly to reach the stage where , if everything goes well, marriage is a certainty. However looking at Rump’s mother reactions, we understand how hard it is for Indian parents to digest such a format. Hitesh’s family is quite unique in the way Sudesh Rani Chauhan has such ultimate authority over choice of the bride. We also see that Rumpa’s family has struggled with her choice many a times but don’t have any other option now other than to support Rumpa wholeheartedly. Even if they end up marrying each other on the show, will Rumpa’s family support her if there is some trouble in the future? I can very well see Rumpa’s mom blaming Rumpa if she finds any trouble in her married life.
While the show has been able to provide real life(presumably) emotional drama which has entertained and enthralled the audience, it has been wayward with regards to our traditional thinking and value system, a system where marriage is considered as a union between families and arranged marriage is the status quo for the majority.
Hence, i consider the show to be unsuccessful as the sacrosanct institution of marriage, the raw emotions of young couples and their affection for each other have been commercialized in such an aggressive manner.
The first season may have won TRPs for its new format and dramatic participants(read Sudesh Rani), but the upcoming seasons are bound to enjoy lesser share of the audience as more and more people will be unable to relate with the happenings on the show barring some innovation on the part of the makers. Ask yourself will you want to be a part of Lux Perfect Bride 2? I am certain that a majority will choose otherwise if we remove the prize money factor.
Then i asked myself
2. Is it possible that the show is scripted and the audience is being served distorted reality
Such doubts will keep on lingering even after one of Rumpa or Priyanka wins LPB. Their supporters will doubt the authenticity if their respective favorites are not able to win. Even today many of us feel that the show is being scripted or at least being dramatized to maintain the interest level of audience. The distorted precaps further fuel such speculation. Such doubts can only be speculated upon because of lack of evidence and hence a conclusive answer can’t be reached. Personally i feel that its a distorted reality. The makers of the show have been clever in editing the show and it is highly dramatized but the participants are more or less real. The choice of participants has also been done very cleverly. While some participants have been chosen who are smart and highly ambitious about winning the show, simpletons like Vivek etc. have also been chosen. Overall the selection of participants is such that everyone can relate to one participant or the other.
While these are my observations about the show, i have also learned many a things as a writer/member of this blog (for whatever little time).
I joined this blog when it was almost certain that its a two horse race. Most of us had been ardent followers and i found many highly opinionated fellows here who were convinced about one of the finalists or the other. While many were open and respectful about others, there were some hardliners too. While the Hitesh Rumpa detractors were were finding it hard to accept that people(Hitesh and Rumpa) can move on so quickly and were peeved by the immature behaviour of either or both of them, the Pribeer detractors were doubtful about their authenticity.
I learned that looking from such a distance we can only choose to believe in what is right and what is wrong as per our perception.
We all perceive based on our values and what we feel is apt.
Either ways i learned that it is vitally important to respect the perception of others and restrain oneself to pass hurtful comments.
One should also be a supporter and not a blind supporter.
Every human being has certain good qualities and certain bad qualities. Its up to us to give precedence to one or the other while judging a person.
What is important is that even if we feel negative about someone we should not hesitate in admiring the positive actions of that person and vice versa.
I also met many a wonderful people on this blog. Mohit – The admin, Princess, Kari, Yashmi, Niti, Nittz, Arnissa, Sarah, Nikks, Juhi, Veena, Sudha and Abhishek. Guys i would like to say that though our interaction was tiny bit in the passage of a life time, i am glad to have come across you and exchange words and ideas. Wishing all the best to all of you.
